### CBS Faces Backlash Over NCIS: Hawai’i and CSI: Vegas Cancellations

CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach addressed the recent uproar over the cancellations of **NCIS: Hawai’i** and **CSI: Vegas** at the Banff World Media Festival. Admitting these decisions were tough and often led to sleepless nights, Reisenbach emphasized they were based on rigorous analysis of viewership data and future projections.

“While I understand and empathize with disappointed fans, our role at CBS is to make these difficult decisions,” Reisenbach explained. She highlighted upcoming projects like **NCIS: Sydney** and **NCIS: Origins**, along with **NCIS: Tony & Ziva** on Paramount+, as factors in the network’s strategic planning.

The franchise’s expansion into new areas, such as the true crime series **The Real CSI: Miami**, also underscores CBS’s commitment to evolving its programming lineup.

Fans, however, remain divided over the cancellations, questioning the network’s priorities amidst ongoing franchise developments.
