In a highly anticipated twist for fans of NCIS, Mark Harmon will share the screen with his wife of 34 years, Pam Dawber, in an upcoming four-episode arc of Season 18 starting April 6. Pam will guest star as Marcie Warren, a seasoned investigative journalist, marking a return to television where she once shone brightly in iconic 1980s sitcoms like Mork & Mindy and My Sister Sam alongside Robin Williams.

Mark Harmon, known for his roles in Flamingo Road and St. Elsewhere, was named People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1986, around the time he and Pam tied the knot in 1987. Their marriage has been characterized by privacy, with the couple often choosing to stay out of the limelight, as Mark explained to TV Insider in 2017. “It’s not even a choice. It’s who we are. We stay home. A lot,” he shared.

Pam echoed this sentiment in a 1987 People interview before their wedding, emphasizing their desire to keep their personal life away from media scrutiny. While raising their sons, Sean (born 1988) and Ty Christian (born 1992), Pam focused on family rather than pursuing full-time acting, although she continued to take on occasional roles like voicing Perdy in 101 Dalmatians: The Series.

With their children grown, Pam is returning to television alongside her husband, a decision that brings her back to the small screen with NCIS after years of focusing on family life.
