‘NCIS: Sydney’ Renewed for Season 2 by CBS and Paramount+
CBS and Paramount+ have announced the renewal of ‘NCIS: Sydney’ for a second season, following its successful debut last November. The series, starring Olivia Swann as NCIS Special Agent Michelle Mackey, focuses on a joint task force with the Australian Federal Police investigating cases involving Americans abroad.
Created by Morgan O’Neill, the show features Todd Lasance and Tuuli Narkle as AFP agents JD Dempsey and Evie Cooper, with Mavournee Hazel appearing as AFP forensic scientist Blue Gleeson. ‘NCIS: Sydney’ quickly became a critical and streaming hit, ranking as CBS’s top-rated new series last fall with over 8 million viewers per episode across multiple platforms.
O’Neill expressed excitement about delving deeper into the characters’ lives in the upcoming season, promising intense action and challenges for the team amidst new threats on the horizon.
The series is part of a broader expansion of the NCIS franchise, with plans for additional spin-offs and companion shows, including a prequel featuring Mark Harmon’s Gibbs and a series reuniting fan-favorite characters Ziva and DiNozzo.
‘NCIS: Sydney’ airs on CBS in the US and is available for streaming on Paramount+ worldwide.
