**NCIS: Origins Casts Robert Taylor as Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ Father**
The upcoming prequel series, NCIS: Origins, has secured Robert Taylor from ‘Longmire’ to portray Jackson Gibbs, the tough father of future NCIS team leader Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Set at NCIS Camp Pendleton, the show follows young Gibbs as he embarks on his career as a special agent.
Joining Taylor are Daniel Bellomy (from Power Book II: Ghost) as Special Agent Granville “Granny” Dawson, and Caleb Martin Foote (Made for Love) as Special Agent Benjamin “Randy” Randolf. Bellomy’s character is a rookie eager to climb the ranks, while Foote plays a seasoned agent tasked with mentoring Gibbs.
Produced by Mark Harmon and his son Sean Harmon, NCIS: Origins promises to unveil untold aspects of Gibbs’ journey, narrated by Mark Harmon himself. The series is eagerly anticipated by fans but awaits an official release date.
