Filming for the highly anticipated NCIS spin-off **Tony and Ziva** is in full swing in Budapest, and Michael Weatherly is excited for the action to come.

After the supporting cast was unveiled earlier this week, a fan reached out to Weatherly for an update from the set. “Oh Michael, what a fabulous cast! Can’t wait to see how this all comes together! And, just saying—hope you have season two already planned, because this is bound to be a massive hit!” the fan wrote, also asking, “How’s filming going? Surviving the Budapest heat?”

Weatherly responded, saying the atmosphere on set is “amazing.” “Hot day but amazing feelings going on here – it’s a real blessing to keep telling the story and exploring the world of T&Z,” he replied.

When another fan asked if he was “ready for action,” the 56-year-old star wrote, “Ready. Willing. And most critically—ABLE!”

The excitement follows the recent announcement of the show’s star-studded supporting cast. **Tony and Ziva** will feature **Julian Ovenden** (*Downton Abbey*) as Secretary General of Interpol, Jonah, and **James D’Arcy** (*Oppenheimer*) as high-ranking Interpol official, Henry.

**Amita Suman** (*Shadow and Bone*) will play Claudette, Tony’s chief technical officer, while **Lara Rossi** (*The Watch*) stars as Sophie, a caretaker with an SAS background. **Nassima Benchicou** (*Emily in Paris*) portrays Martine, a former French intelligence agent, and **Terence Maynard** (*Coronation Street*) is Dr. Lang, a seasoned therapist.

In the series, Tony and Ziva are living in Paris with their daughter, Tali, when Tony’s security company is attacked. The couple must flee across Europe to uncover who is after them and rebuild their trust for a chance at an unconventional happy ending.

A release date for the series has yet to be announced.
