Sasha Alexander, who portrayed Agent Kate Todd in NCIS, has been busy with various shows and films since her departure from the show.
Kate Todd was a key part of the NCIS team until her shocking exit in the second season when she was shot in the head by double-agent Ari Haswari. Ari’s half-sister Ziva David ended up fatally shooting him.
After her time on NCIS, Sasha Alexander appeared in several shows and films, including “Lucky 13,” “Yes Man,” “Friends,” “The Ride,” “He’s Just Not That Into You,” “Mission: Impossible III,” and “FBI.”
One of her most notable roles was as Maura Isles in the series “Rizzoli & Isles,” which she starred in for six years. She also portrayed Helene Runyon in the SAG Award-winning series “Shameless.”
Most recently, Sasha provided the voice for Adeline in the animated film “Deathstroke Knights and Dragons,” starred in “Dangerous Lies,” and made an appearance in an episode of “Law and Order.”
In her personal life, Sasha is married to Edoardo Ponti, whom she met at USC’s film school, and they tied the knot in 2007. Interestingly, she is the daughter-in-law of legendary Italian actress Sophia Loren, who is Edoardo’s mother, from her marriage to Carlo Ponti.
Sasha and Edoardo have two children together, a daughter named Lucia Sofia Ponti and a son named Leonardo Fortunato Ponti.
In May, the former NCIS star celebrated her 50th birthday with loved ones in Paris.
