Fans are rallying around Michael Weatherly following the tragic news of his father’s passing.
On August 20, 2024, Weatherly shared on X that his father, Michael Manning Weatherly, had died on August 15, 2024. Weatherly did not disclose the cause of death but noted that his father was born in 1932, making him around 92 years old at the time of his death.
In his heartfelt post, Weatherly described his father as a “great friend” and reminisced about his father’s career achievements, including his success with The Forschner Group and his service as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army. Weatherly highlighted his father’s 40-year marriage to his mother, Patricia, and his father’s legacy through his other children, Elizabeth, Leigh, and the late William, as well as his stepchildren Chris, Lisa, and Cornelia, and his 12 grandchildren.
