Nick and Vanessa Lachey have said goodbye to their Honolulu home, selling their luxury Oahu property for $9.45 million. The couple, who bought the stunning residence in May 2022 after Vanessa joined NCIS: Hawaii, decided to leave Hawaii following the show’s cancellation after three seasons.
Originally listed at $9.75 million, the property sold for $300,000 less than asking, but the Lacheys still made a profit. They had purchased the home for $8,795,000 just two years ago, trading their Encino, CA, residence for island life. Now, they’re heading back to California and have settled in a new Encino farmhouse-style home they bought for $6,795,000.
The Lacheys’ departure from Hawaii is tinged with nostalgia. Vanessa shared a heartfelt farewell on Instagram, saying, “A Hui Hou” (Hawaiian for goodbye): “Home is where the heart is… Hawai’i, you will always have my heart! Mahalo Nui Loa for 3 beautiful, magical years you gave me and my family! Now, on to the next adventure. Off into the sunset we go! #LacheyPartyOf5 #AlohaSpirit.” During their time in Hawaii, the family enjoyed island life, making cherished memories and celebrating occasions like Halloween in NCIS costumes.
Their former home, built in 2017, boasted 7,732 square feet of luxury living. Highlights included an open floor plan, indoor-outdoor spaces, a top-of-the-line kitchen with European cabinetry and a quartzite island, and a ground-floor primary suite with a spa bath overlooking the garden and pool. The property also featured a guest suite, a home office, and was conveniently located near the beach, the Kahala Hotel, Waialae Golf Course, dining, and shopping.
Back in Southern California, Nick, who gained fame as the lead singer of 98 Degrees, and Vanessa, known for hosting Love Is Blind and The Ultimatum, are focusing on their careers. Vanessa, who met Nick in 2006 while appearing in one of his music videos, previously worked as a correspondent and host for Entertainment Tonight. The couple, who married in a picturesque ceremony on Richard Branson’s private Necker Island in 2011, are now ready to embrace their next chapter in Encino.
