Vanessa Lachey Breaks Silence After ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Cancellation
Following the abrupt end of NCIS: Hawai’i after three seasons, Vanessa Lachey has shared her heartfelt farewell. The show wrapped up on May 6, just weeks after CBS announced its cancellation due to moderate ratings.
In an emotional Instagram post, Vanessa, who played Special Agent Jane Tennant, reflected on the impact of the show: “This show meant so much to me and so many others. As an AAPI woman, wife, and mother, I’m proud to have been your Jane Tennant.”
She continued, “This journey has pushed me to break glass ceilings and I encourage everyone to do the same! A Hui Hou—until we meet again.”
The series finale left fans hanging with a dramatic cliffhanger. Jane Tennant returned home to find her daughter missing, with Maggie Shaw (Julie White) ominously hinting at more trouble.
Lachey expressed her shock over the cancellation, calling herself “gutted” and “blindsided” by the news.
NCIS: Hawai’i aired on CBS in the US and streams on Disney+ in the UK.
