Paramount’s new NCIS spinoff finally has a name: NCIS: Tony & Ziva. Stars Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo revealed the title in a Zoom announcement, clarifying that the show will focus on their characters’ adventures across Europe.
The 10-episode series will feature Tony and Ziva on the run across the continent, dealing with dangerous situations while trying to piece together who is after them. Filming starts this summer in Budapest, with John McNamara serving as writer and showrunner.
Following Ziva’s presumed death and Tony’s subsequent departure from NCIS to raise their daughter, the new series picks up with the couple living together in Paris. Their peaceful life is disrupted when Tony’s security company is attacked, forcing them to navigate a series of high-stakes challenges.
Weatherly, de Pablo, and McNamara are executive producers alongside Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, and Shelley Meals. The series is set to be distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
