NCIS star Brian Dietzen has hyped up the show’s “intense” Season 21 finale.
Following the celebration of the franchise’s 1,000th episode last month, the original series will air its Season 21 finale on CBS on Monday, May 6. Dietzen, who portrays Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jimmy Palmer, told Entertainment Tonight that the finale will feature some of the most gripping and dramatic moments the show has seen in a long time.
“This finale is not to be missed,” Dietzen said. “It’s incredibly intense, dealing with life-and-death situations that we haven’t explored in quite some time.”
Co-star Katrina Law, who plays Special Agent Jessica Knight, also teased that the episode will set the stage for a “fascinating” next season. “There’s a lot of soul-searching and fundamental changes for our characters,” she revealed. “It’s one of my favorite scripts I’ve read all season.”
As NCIS gears up for its 22nd season this autumn, fans will also be saying goodbye to NCIS: Hawai’i, which has been canceled after three seasons. The series will wrap up on May 6, leaving fans with a potential cliffhanger and unresolved storylines due to its moderate viewing figures.
Vanessa Lachey, who stars as Special Agent Jane Tennant on NCIS: Hawai’i, expressed her shock and disappointment over the cancellation on her Instagram Story, saying she felt “blindsided” by the news.
NCIS airs on CBS in the US, and Seasons 1-20 are available for streaming on Disney+ in the UK.
