Spread the love

Hey, “NCIS: Hawaii” fans. We hope you enjoyed every minute of tonight’s episode 10, especially since it marks the final episode of the series. Yes, you read that correctly. Not only was tonight’s episode the season finale for season 3, but it was also the series finale. The show has been canceled, and this will be the last episode of “NCIS: Hawaii” you will ever see.

According to Deadline.com, the cancellation was likely due to CBS’s commitment to several new shows, forcing them to make tough decisions about which ones to keep. Although “NCIS: Hawaii” had good ratings and viewership, they didn’t quite measure up to CBS’s other top shows. CBS boasts a very competitive lineup, making it difficult for “NCIS: Hawaii” to stand out. Moreover, CBS has invested in other “NCIS” spin-offs, including the new “Tony & Ziva” spin-off, a Young Gibbs prequel titled “NCIS: Origins,” and the second season of “NCIS: Sydney.” This crowded “NCIS” landscape ultimately led to “NCIS: Hawaii” being cut.

The Nielsen ratings show that “NCIS: Hawaii” season 3 averaged 5.216 million live viewers per episode, with a 0.35 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The most recent episode, episode 9, which aired on April 29, 2024, drew 5.066 million live viewers and a 0.32 rating. The season’s most-viewed episode was episode 1, with 5.555 million live viewers, while episode 5 had the least with 4.821 million live viewers. Episode 3 achieved the highest rating with a 0.41 score, whereas episode 5 had the lowest with a 0.30 score. Despite these respectable numbers, other shows performed even better, leading to the unfortunate end of “NCIS: Hawaii.”

That’s all we have for this “NCIS: Hawaii” update. Stay tuned for more news on other TV shows.
