After a long wait for updates on Jessica Knight’s status in NCIS Season 22, we finally have some answers. While it’s unclear if Katrina Law will appear in the October 14 premiere, fans can expect to see her return soon—but not necessarily in Washington, D.C.
According to Entertainment Weekly, an upcoming episode will bring Alden Parker to the West Coast, where he encounters Knight, who’s questioning her decision to leave her old position. This also raises questions about her relationship with Jimmy Palmer. Showrunner Steven D. Binder teased that “under the worst circumstances possible will these two have the talk,” leaving fans eager to see what unfolds.
Binder also hinted that the team may be more scattered than ever in Season 22. Torres will be deep in undercover operations, and McGee may be eyeing a Deputy Director role. Additionally, the mystery surrounding Parker and Lily will resurface, with Binder suggesting that even Parker might not fully understand what’s happening: “I wouldn’t be so sure that Parker knows who she is either… We don’t always remember the scars of our youth.”
For now, fans can rest assured that Knight isn’t entirely gone. If Katrina Law were leaving the show, it likely would have been revealed already—so stay tuned for her return!
