Your NCIS Clearance Has Been Upgraded: Season 22 Spoilers Unveiled!
Executive producer Steven D. Binder just gave us an exclusive look at what’s in store for NCIS Season 22, and it’s packed with high-stakes action, emotional twists, and even a close call with global catastrophe. Here’s a peek before it gets redacted! (Interview edited for length and clarity.)
Jessica Knight & Jimmy Palmer Post-Breakup:
After Jimmy (Brian Dietzen) ended things with Knight (Katrina Law) in the Season 21 finale, it’s now months later. Knight is thriving on the West Coast as the new REACT training officer, while Jimmy has moved on to dating — though this will come up at the worst possible time. In the season premiere, Knight faces a hostage negotiation gone wrong, forcing her and Jimmy to revisit their breakup conversation, with part three happening in Episode 4 when the world nearly ends. Huge stakes loom both globally and personally.
Parker’s Hallucinations:
Alden Parker (Gary Cole) is still baffled by the hallucinations he experienced in the finale, where he saw himself as a child alongside a mysterious girl named Lily. This season will take Parker on a journey to uncover what these visions mean.
Torres’ Tough Road:
Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) faces another loss as Knight departs, and he goes undercover with some dangerous people — it doesn’t end well. Partnering with a hardened detective who’s on the brink of giving up on life, Torres faces his potential future.
McGee’s New Path:
Inspired by Knight’s departure, McGee (Sean Murray) applies for a deputy director position in Colorado, with the role set to be filled by the end of the premiere. Meanwhile, Parker feels the absence of his “team” and gets pulled into Knight’s troubles.
Upcoming Cases:
Knight will soon be tasked with protecting a D.C. socialite, which takes her into an unexpected world of power and influence. Episode 2 will see Vance (Rocky Carroll) handling diplomatic drama, dead bodies, and an ex-girlfriend with dark secrets. Expect handcuffs, fights, and duct-taped bodies in the autopsy room.
This season’s theme? “Things go wrong at the worst possible time.” Buckle up!
