The highly anticipated 22nd season of NCIS is set to premiere with a bang on Monday, October 14 at 8/7c on CBS. The action-packed debut episode, titled “Empty Nest,” promises to deliver intense drama as the team tackles a high-stakes investigation into a mole within their own ranks.
In the full-length trailer released by CBS, fans get a glimpse of the gripping new storyline. The nearly 90-second footage reveals that the team is on a mission to uncover the identity of the traitor among them. Additionally, viewers will catch their first look at Agent Jessica Knight (Katrina Law), who is still reeling from the promotion dilemma she faced at the end of last season.
The premiere will be followed by the debut of NCIS: Origins, a prequel series exploring the 1991 versions of Mike Franks and Leroy Jethro Gibbs. A new actor has been cast as Young Gibbs for this exciting new addition to the NCIS universe.
Returning to the NCIS cast for Season 22 are Sean Murray as Special Agent Timothy McGee, Brian Dietzen as Dr. Jimmy Palmer, Wilmer Valderrama as Nicholas “Nick” Torres, Gary Cole as Alden Parker, Katrina Law as Jessica Knight, Diona Reasonover as Forensic Scientist Kasie Hines, and Rocky Carroll as NCIS Director Leon Vance.
Unfortunately, CBS has canceled NCIS: Hawai’i, and no new episodes are currently in production. Fans of the series have taken to social media to express their disappointment and call for its renewal.
For those looking to catch up, previous seasons of NCIS, as well as NCIS: New Orleans, NCIS: Los Angeles, and NCIS: Sydney, are available for streaming on Paramount+.
