JAG Spinoff NCIS is Still Going Strong with its 22nd Season and Several New Spin-offs on the Horizon.

While NCIS has seen many agents come and go over the years, its franchise remains a TV powerhouse. Following the cancellation of NCIS: Hawai’i on a cliffhanger, the future of the franchise is far from in jeopardy. CBS and Paramount+ are gearing up for two new spin-offs: NCIS: Origins and NCIS: Tony and Ziva.

NCIS: Origins will explore the early career of Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), focusing on his transition from Marine sniper to naval investigator. Meanwhile, NCIS: Tony and Ziva will reunite beloved characters Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo), following their lives in the present day. Set in Paris, this spin-off brings the duo back together after years apart, with their daughter Tali (Emelia Golfieri) by their side.

The Cast: Along with Weatherly and de Pablo, the series will feature a supporting cast of Interpol agents, intelligence officers, and others, played by James D’Arcy, Isla Gie, Maximilian Osinski, Julian Ovenden, and more. Tony and Ziva’s chemistry will drive the action, as they navigate love, danger, and a few tears.

The Plot: NCIS: Tony and Ziva will focus on the couple’s rocky reunion. After Ziva faked her death years ago, Tony left NCIS to raise their daughter alone. Now reunited, the couple faces new challenges as Tony’s security company in France comes under attack. Forced to go on the run across Europe, they’ll have to confront their trust issues while protecting their family.

Cote de Pablo hinted that their relationship will be a key element, stating, “The idea of trust, and how this relationship moves forward, intrigued us as actors.”

Expect an action-packed, emotional rollercoaster as Tony and Ziva’s love story plays out once again—this time for their unconventional happily ever after.
