I Am More Baffled About NCIS: Hawai’i’s Cancelation After CBS’ New Procedural Show Revival

The cancellation of NCIS: Hawai’i has sparked a significant backlash against CBS. This decision is particularly baffling given their new series developments. Once the flagship series NCIS was established, CBS successfully expanded the franchise with several spinoffs, many of which built solid fan bases. NCIS: Hawai’i, which premiered in 2021, was the youngest Stateside offshoot. Despite its relatively short run, it developed a loyal and committed following.

Although I’m new to the NCIS: Hawai’i fandom, having only started watching the series after hearing great things about it, I’ve been closely following the uproar since its cancellation. CBS also ended So Help Me Todd and CSI: Las Vegas, but the backlash for NCIS: Hawai’i’s cancellation has been far more intense. Fans are particularly vocal, underscoring the show’s strong and dedicated viewership.
