Why NCIS Fans Had to Wait: No New Episodes This Week, But They’re Coming Soon

Bad news for NCIS and NCIS: Origins fans: neither show aired new episodes this week. Instead, CBS filled the time slots with a rerun and special programming.

NCIS aired a rerun of Season 21’s “Heartless,” where the team investigates the kidnapping and murder of a heart surgeon. Meanwhile, NCIS: Origins was replaced by The Neighborhood and a behind-the-scenes special on Gladiator II, the highly anticipated film releasing November 22.

CBS hasn’t provided a reason for the hiatus, but fans won’t have to wait long—new episodes return on Monday, November 25. Both shows are gearing up for their fall finales on December 16, with the seasons resuming on January 27, 2025.

Last week’s NCIS episode, “In From the Cold,” guest-starred Matthew Lawrence as Danny Butler, the son of a retired spy battling dementia. On NCIS: Origins, “Incognito” followed young Gibbs and Lala Dominguez working undercover on a high-stakes intel leak.

Stay tuned as both shows continue their action-packed storylines next week on CBS and Paramount Plus.
