NCIS star Sean Murray’s wife of 18 years, Carrie James Murray, has filed for divorce at Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles, as first reported by The Blast. No cause has been given.
Sean and Carrie met at an event in 2004 and tied the knot the following year in November. The couple has two children: daughter Cay Ryan, aged 16, and son River, aged 14. Cay recently guest-starred with Murray on the “The Brat Pack” episode of NCIS, while son River has no acting aspirations at this time, his father recently told Parade. In an exclusive at-home interview with People in 2021, the couple showed off the family’s home, which they spent 10 years renovating and designing.
According to James’ LinkedIn profile, she attended San Francisco State University from 1995 to 1999 and earned a bachelor’s degree in social work with an emphasis in domestic violence. In 2002, James earned a master’s degree in education leadership at Antioch University in Los Angeles. She went on to become a teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District, working her way up to principal at a public charter school, and then founded the Prestique Academy of Innovation and Technology in 2011. In 2015, Carrie founded the Business Relationship Alliance (BRA), a network supporting women entrepreneurs.
Sean has yet to respond to Carrie’s divorce filing.
