Exciting news for NCIS fans! CBS has confirmed that Mariel Molino will join the upcoming prequel series, NCIS: Origins. This series, set to debut in the 2024-2025 season, will star Austin Stowell as the young Leroy Jethro Gibbs, with Mark Harmon narrating and executive producing.
In NCIS: Origins, set in 1991, Gibbs starts his journey as a special agent at NIS Camp Pendleton, under the guidance of NCIS legend Mike Franks. Molino will portray Special Agent Lala Dominguez, a former Marine navigating the male-dominated world of the 1990s with determination and wit. When Gibbs joins her team, their dynamic sparks intrigue and mystery.
Molino’s impressive credits include roles in The Watchful Eye, Promised Land, and Papis muy padres, along with appearances in films like The Shade and Crazy for Change. She is represented by Independent Artist Group, EKG Talent Group, and Goodman Genow.
David J. North and Gina Lucita Monreal, both NCIS veterans, co-wrote the pilot and will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers alongside Mark and Sean Harmon.
