In the Season 21 episode titled “Heartless,” Tim Russ portrays Dr. Erik Harper, a skilled cardiothoracic surgeon whose training session with a group of young doctors takes a tragic turn when he is kidnapped and murdered. As the team investigates his death, they uncover secrets that lead to unexpected revelations and even pave the way for a new romance for Alden Parker, portrayed by Gary Cole.
Russ also makes a brief appearance in Season 3’s “Jeopardy,” playing Jerry Kemper, the head of security at a luxury car rental service where a kidnapping involving Jenny Shepard, played by Lauren Holly, occurs due to her connection to Ziva David, portrayed by Cote de Pablo.
However, Russ’s most substantial role within the “NCIS” universe thus far is in “NCIS: New Orleans.” In Season 4’s “The Ties that Bind,” he portrays Felix Hill, an old friend of Dwayne Pride, played by Scott Bakula. Felix owns Delilah’s, a jazz club where Pride’s mother used to perform. The investigation reveals Felix’s potential involvement in the death of a Navy underclassman and his connections to an underground network of drug pushers.
