### NCIS: Hawaii’s Alex Tarrant Quickly Moves On After Series Cancellation
**By Hayley Anderson**
NCIS: Hawaii may have recently wrapped up, but Alex Tarrant, the actor behind Agent Kai Holman, is already diving into a new project. Just a week after the unexpected end of the spin-off, Tarrant has lined up something very different.
Since its debut in 2021, NCIS: Hawaii captivated fans with its stunning scenery, intricate plot twists, and the central relationship between Kate Whistler (Tori Anderson) and Lucy Tara (Yasmine Al-Bustami). Despite the positive feedback, CBS decided to cancel the series after its third season due to financial reasons, leaving fans and cast members frustrated. Thousands have signed petitions urging CBS to reconsider, but no changes have been made to the cancellation.
Alex Tarrant, who played the recently returned Agent Kai Holman, quickly became an integral part of the team, fitting in seamlessly and forming strong bonds with his colleagues. With the show no longer in production, Tarrant has moved on to a new project titled *A Remarkable Place to Die*.
According to Tarrant’s IMDb page, he will star in this upcoming mystery series, which is currently in production. Tarrant’s character, Ihaka, will be part of a gripping narrative set in Queenstown, New Zealand. The show’s synopsis reveals that Detective Anais Mallory, played by Chelsie Preston Crayford, returns to her hometown to solve startling homicides while confronting personal ghosts from her past.
The cast also includes Indiana Evans from *H2O: Just Add Water*, Rebecca Gibney from *Prosper*, and Nathalie Boltt from *Riverdale*. With such a dynamic ensemble, *A Remarkable Place to Die* promises to be a compelling new venture for Tarrant and an exciting watch for mystery fans.
