### NCIS Star Brian Dietzen Teases “Intense” Season 21 Finale

Fresh off celebrating the 1,000th episode of the NCIS franchise last month, the original series is gearing up for an explosive season finale. The much-anticipated episode is set to air on CBS on Monday, May 6.

In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight at CBS’s fall schedule celebration, Brian Dietzen, who portrays chief medical examiner Dr. Jimmy Palmer, provided some tantalizing hints about the upcoming finale. According to Dietzen, fans can expect some of the most intense and gripping storylines that the show has tackled in a long time.

“I’ll say this, the finale is not to be missed. There is some intense stuff, and when I say intense, I mean intense, like it’s stuff that we haven’t hit in a long, long time as far as the life and death that is happening within this episode,” he said.

Dietzen’s co-star Katrina Law, who joined NCIS as Special Agent Jessica Knight in season 18, also shared her excitement about the finale. She mentioned that the episode sets the stage for an intriguing next season for the characters.

“I will say that there is a lot of soul-searching that goes on during this episode. It’s one of my favorite episodes that I read all season, actually the entire time that I’ve been on NCIS,” she explained. “There’s some fundamental changes that are gonna happen to our characters.”

As NCIS prepares to return for its 22nd season this autumn, fans are also processing the news about its spinoff series, NCIS: Hawai’i. The series has been cancelled after just three seasons, with the final episode set to air on May 6. According to Deadline, the cancellation is due to moderate viewing figures, leaving fans with a likely cliffhanger and some unresolved conflicts.

Vanessa Lachey, who stars as Special Agent Jane Tennant on NCIS: Hawai’i, expressed her shock and disappointment over the show’s abrupt end. Shortly after the announcement, she took to her Instagram Story to share her feelings, saying she felt “blindsided” by the decision.

For NCIS fans in the UK, the entire series from seasons 1-20 is available for streaming on Disney+.

Don’t miss the intense season finale of NCIS on May 6, and stay tuned for the exciting developments in the upcoming 22nd season!
