“NCIS: Hawai’i Renewal: Crucial for CBS’s Dream NCIS Mondays Lineup!

As TV fans brace themselves for the spring renewal season, CBS’s 2024 TV schedule has been a mixed bag of renewals and cancellations. While the flagship NCIS series secured renewal ahead of its landmark 1000th episode and the Origins prequel received a green light, the fate of NCIS: Hawai’i hangs in the balance. However, there’s room for optimism, especially considering CBS’s success with the FBI franchise.

CBS has struck gold with its Tuesday night lineup, featuring a full primetime block of FBI action since 2021. The crossover potential among FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted has proven fruitful, even amidst TV industry challenges like the WGA writers strike. With all three shows earning renewals, CBS’s “FBI Tuesdays” have become a staple of success.

Looking ahead to the 2024-2025 TV season, I can’t help but imagine the potential for “NCIS Mondays.” With NCIS already renewed for Season 22 and NCIS: Origins on the horizon, wouldn’t it be ideal to add more episodes of NCIS: Hawai’i to the lineup? Both NCIS and Hawai’i currently air on Mondays, providing a perfect primetime slot. By shifting The Neighborhood and wrapping up Bob Hearts Abishola, CBS could seamlessly create “NCIS Mondays,” featuring all three shows in one night.

However, CBS’s plans hinge on the fate of NCIS: Hawai’i. Without Hawai’i’s renewal, the dream of NCIS Mondays remains just that—a dream. The situation echoes NBC’s dilemma with Law & Order Thursdays, where renewals for Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU are assured, but Law & Order: Organized Crime’s future is uncertain.

While the success of NCIS Mondays may not replicate FBI Tuesdays overnight, the potential for a powerhouse lineup is undeniable. As fans eagerly await news on Hawai’i’s fate, they can continue tuning in to new episodes on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET. Here’s hoping for a renewal and the realization of CBS’s dream lineup!”
