NCIS Fans Can Relax: Katrina Law’s Agent Jessica Knight Is Back! But Will She Rejoin the Team?
Fans of NCIS were left wondering if Katrina Law’s character, Agent Jessica Knight, would return after Season 21 left her future in doubt. In the finale, Knight was offered a new job as a REACT training officer following the tragic loss of her team. Though torn between the opportunity and her current role with the NCIS team (and her relationship with Medical Examiner Jimmy Palmer), Knight seemed inclined to accept the offer, leaving her spot on the show uncertain.
But recent teasers have eased some of that anxiety. Photos and trailers for Season 22 confirm that Knight will appear in the first episode. According to previews, she finds herself working on a case that reconnects her with her old team, and Agent Alden Parker steps in to help her out. While this confirms her presence in the show, it’s still unclear if or when she’ll officially rejoin the team.
As for her relationship with Palmer, fans of the couple can expect some resolution as the two navigate whether they want to get back together.
However, the larger team dynamic remains in flux. Nick Torres seems to be going rogue, and Tim McGee is considering a job as Deputy Director. Will the team come back together, or are bigger changes ahead? Season 22 promises to answer these questions when NCIS returns on Monday, Oct. 14 at 8/7c, moving to its regular 9 p.m. EST time slot the following week on Oct. 21.
