**Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo Return in New Spinoff, NCIS: Tony & Ziva**
Paramount+ announced in February 2024 the exciting news that Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo will reprise their iconic NCIS roles in a new spinoff titled NCIS: Tony & Ziva. Weatherly, who played Tony DiNozzo from seasons 1 to 13, and de Pablo, who portrayed Ziva David from season 3 until her departure in season 11, are set to return to the screen together.
Ziva’s presumed death in season 11 and Tony’s resignation two seasons later to raise their daughter, Tali, left fans heartbroken. However, Ziva’s surprise return in season 16 thrilled the NCIS community, with both actors making brief appearances since. Now, they are back for a full-fledged series.
In a statement from February, Weatherly and de Pablo expressed their excitement: “We’ve been talking about this story for many years, and now with [executive producer] John McNamara at the helm, we are ready. The world of Tony and Ziva (and daughter Tali) promises to be an action-packed roller coaster fueled by love, danger, tears, and laughter.” They also emphasized their gratitude towards fans, saying, “To this day, they say hello in grocery stores and on the street to tell us how much these characters mean to them and ask what Tony and Ziva are up to now. This is for you!”

The spinoff follows Tony and Ziva as they raise their daughter, Tali, while facing new threats. Tony’s security company is attacked, forcing the couple to uncover who is targeting their family while on the run in Europe. De Pablo teased fans in a May 2024 Instagram video, saying, “I expect intrigue, romance, the background of Europe, impossible situations that will make our life very complicated but somehow a little something about love.”
