“NCIS’ 1000th Episode: Gibbs’ Replacement Revealed!
As Mark Harmon’s return seems unlikely, the iconic Leroy Jethro Gibbs will be replaced by an unexpected character from the show’s past. With the franchise expanding, the milestone will be celebrated in the original series, marking its 1000th outing.
The special episode, “A Thousand Yards,” will focus on Director Leon Vance, with the return of his son adding to the drama. While Gibbs’ cameo would have been ideal, Sasha Alexander’s Caitlin Todd emerges as the perfect replacement.
Why Todd? She has special ties to the pilot episode, “Yankee White,” and her unexpected murder will be revisited, offering clues to an unknown threat. Joe Spano’s Tobias Fornell will also make a comeback, adding to the intrigue.
But how will Todd return from the dead? Flashbacks or visions from Jimmy Palmer or Timothy McGee could provide a solution, offering a fitting tribute to her legacy.
