NCIS: Tony & Ziva Spinoff Cast Announced as Production Begins in Budapest

The highly anticipated NCIS spinoff series, NCIS: Tony & Ziva, has revealed its cast as production kicks off in Budapest. This new addition to the NCIS universe will delve into the lives of Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David after they leave the agency, featuring Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo reprising their iconic roles.

The cast includes:

  • Isla Gie as Tali, Tony and Ziva’s 12-year-old daughter.
  • Amita Suman as Claudette, the Chief Technical Officer at Tony’s private security company.
  • Maximilian Osinski as Boris, a Russian hacker.
  • Nassima Benchicou as Martine, a former French intelligence agent.
  • Julian Ovenden as Jonah, the Secretary General of Interpol.
  • Terence Maynard as Dr. Lang, a gentle and probing therapist.
  • Lari Rossi as Sophie, Tali’s caregiver with a background in the Special Air Service.
  • James D’Arcy as Henry, a high-ranking official at Interpol.

The series will explore Tony and Ziva’s new life as parents while running a successful private security company. The family faces imminent danger, forcing them to go on the run from an international threat. The show aims to address the complexities of trust and how Tony and Ziva navigate their tumultuous relationship while parenting and saving the world.

Cote de Pablo shared with Variety in June, “We’re trying to address all of these questions, and the idea of trust, and how [Tony and Ziva] move forward… they’re trying to make things work while also parenting and having a lot of challenges thrown at them.”

Michael Weatherly added, “Every choice that Tony and Ziva have to make in their adventure, their child is first and foremost in the front of their mind. When we were on the NCIS mothership, we didn’t have children. When you have a child, you have to navigate what is best for them. And then maybe you have a co-parent that you have a tumultuous relationship with… and oh, wait, we also have to save the world.”

Though the release date is yet to be announced, the series will stream on Paramount+. CBS Studios President David Stapf believes the show will “really elevate the strength of the franchise.”

Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo expressed their excitement, saying, “We’ve been talking about this story for many years, and now with John McNamara at the helm, we are ready. The world of Tony and Ziva (and daughter Tali) promises to be an action-packed roller coaster fueled by love, danger, tears, and laughter. We also want to acknowledge and thank the fans from around the world who supported the ‘TIVA’ movement for years. To this day, they say hello in grocery stores and on the street to tell us how much these characters mean to them and ask what Tony and Ziva are up to now. This is for you!”

Ziva last appeared in Season 17, while Tony was briefly seen in Season 21. Fans are eagerly awaiting the new series, which promises to bring a mix of action, family dynamics, and the beloved chemistry between Tony and Ziva.
