NCIS Season 22 is set to bring major changes to the team, including a significant six-month time jump. Throughout the show’s history, the NCIS team has worked as a close-knit group, but this season will see them pulled in different directions.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), and Alden Parker (Gary Cole) will each face unique challenges. McGee is eyeing a promotion to deputy director, while Torres returns to his roots as an undercover agent. Meanwhile, Parker heads west, teaming up with Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) for a crucial case. Knight also faces tough decisions, particularly about leaving her former beau, Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen), behind.
Showrunner Steve Binder teased the upcoming shakeups, hinting at intense episodes filled with romance, unexpected pairings, and plenty of mystery—including the enigmatic character Lily (Sunnie Pelant). Binder added, “Under the worst circumstances possible will these two have the talk,” promising dramatic moments and surprises throughout the season.
