Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are reprising their NCIS roles in the upcoming spinoff, NCIS: Tony and Ziva, but that’s not all—they’re also returning to the beginning of their TV journey for a special reason.
As their new Paramount+ series is in early development, Deadline announced on May 28 that Michael and Cote are hosting a video rewatch podcast for Spotify. Titled Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch, the podcast will release episodes every Tuesday starting June 4, 2024. The duo will revisit iconic NCIS episodes, with current and former cast members (like Sean Murray, Sasha Alexander, and Eric Christian Olsen) joining them to discuss the show’s impact on pop culture since its debut in 2003.
Michael confirmed the news on TikTok, sharing a clip of him and Cote announcing their new venture. “IT’S OFFICIAL!” he captioned the video. “Join me for Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch on @Spotify Podcasts!! .”
Fans were thrilled to learn about the rewatch podcast, eagerly anticipating Michael and Cote’s commentary on memorable TIVA moments. Comments included, “Are we really going to get Michael and Cote’s commentary on top TIVA moments in the show?? CRYING ,” and “This makes me BEYOND happy .”
The announcement of the rewatch podcast follows the news that Michael and Cote will star in their own NCIS spinoff series. While there’s no confirmed air date for NCIS: Tony and Ziva, Paramount+ has greenlit 10 episodes for the first season, set to begin production this year.
