Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are reprising their roles as Tony and Ziva in the upcoming spinoff NCIS: Tony and Ziva, and they’re also returning to their TV roots for a special reason.
As their new Paramount+ series enters early development, Deadline announced on May 28 that Michael and Cote will host a video rewatch podcast for Spotify. Titled Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch, new episodes will drop every Tuesday starting June 4, 2024. They’ll revisit iconic NCIS episodes, with current and former cast members like Sean Murray, Sasha Alexander, and Eric Christian Olsen joining to discuss the show’s cultural impact since its 2003 debut.
Michael confirmed the news on TikTok, posting a clip of himself and Cote announcing their new venture. “IT’S OFFICIAL!” he captioned. “Join me for Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch on @Spotify Podcasts!! .”
Fans were ecstatic about Michael and Cote sharing behind-the-scenes NCIS secrets. “Are we really going to get Michael and Cote’s commentary on top TIVA moments in the show?? CRYING ,” one fan wrote. “This makes me BEYOND happy ,” another exclaimed.
The podcast announcement comes three months after it was revealed that Michael and Cote would star in their own NCIS spinoff series. While the air date for NCIS: Tony and Ziva is unconfirmed, Paramount+ has greenlit 10 episodes for the first season, set to start production this year.
