NCIS: Hawai’i Fans Refuse to Give Up Hope!

Despite NCIS: Hawai’i getting canceled midway through its third season, dedicated fans are still fighting for more episodes. As the season finale neared, fans launched online petitions and flooded social media with their love for the show. However, CBS replaced NCIS: Hawai’i with the new show NCIS: Origins, set in 1991 and featuring the early days of Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Mike Franks.

But the NCIS: Hawai’i fans remain undeterred.

### #SaveNCISHawaii Trends on Social Media
On Sunday, July 7, #SaveNCISHawaii trended again on X (formerly Twitter), with fans sharing notes, GIFs, images, and videos about their beloved show. This fan base’s dedication is remarkable despite the setbacks they’ve faced. Some fans have specific ideas for future episodes:

– “We need more of Lucy’s backstory and why Kate hasn’t met Lucy’s family, while Lucy has met Kate’s. Season 3 sucked; there are #MoreStoriesToTell, and we need more seasons. #SaveNCISHawaii,” shared Ela.
– “We know so little about Jesse Boone – his childhood, his previous career, his family, when/why he learned Italian – I keep joking that his wife might not exist. Jesse Boone has #MoreStoriesToTell. #SaveNCISHawaii,” wrote Freddie.
– “How is Alex doing in Annapolis? #MoreStoriesToTell #SaveNCISHawaii,” posted PA Dameech.

A fan site listed several storylines needing resolution, urging for more episodes:

“Jane Tennant said, ‘this means our story isn’t over,’ and she was right. #NCISHawaii has #MoreStoriesToTell. We need to meet Lucy and Kate’s families, Jesse’s wife and third kid, Ernie needs to find love, and we need to see their relationships grow. #SaveNCISHawaii.”

### The Fight Continues
It’s clear that NCIS: Hawai’i fans are passionate and determined. According to Monsters and Critics, the show’s ratings improved last season, indicating a growing viewership. Whether the show will get the green light for more episodes is uncertain, but fans are doing everything possible to make it happen. Keeping the show and the NCIS brand trending on social media is a significant step in that direction.

Previous seasons of all NCIS programs, including NCIS: Hawai’i, are available for streaming on Paramount+. NCIS Season 22 debuts this fall on CBS.
