NCIS: Hawai’i won’t be returning for a fourth season, but fans can look forward to two hours of bonus features soon.

Paramount Home Entertainment will release the complete series of NCIS: Hawai’i on DVD on Tuesday, October 8. Special features include a gag reel, “Ruah’s Rules: Directing NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i,” and “NCIS: Hawai’i Season 3: The Third Wave.” CBS canceled the series just before the third season finale aired in two parts on April 29 and May 6, which served as the show’s sendoff.

Premiering in 2021, NCIS: Hawai’i starred Vanessa Lachey as Special Agent in Charge Jane Tennant, with Noah Mills, Alex Tarrant, Yasmine Al-Bustami, and Jason Antoon in supporting roles. LL Cool J joined the cast in the third season, reprising his role as Sam Hanna from NCIS: Los Angeles.

Following the cancellation, Lachey expressed her gratitude and pride in an Instagram post, highlighting her role as the first female lead in an NCIS series and encouraging others to push boundaries and achieve their dreams.

CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach addressed the cancellation, explaining the need to keep the schedule fresh and make tough decisions based on financial and performance evaluations. Despite strong returns from Hollywood strikes, the network prioritized schedule cohesion and overall performance in their decision-making process.
