CBS has made the tough call to bid farewell to “NCIS: Hawai’i” as the show concludes its third season. Serving as the third spinoff of the hit procedural crime drama NCIS, which itself originated from JAG, the series followed the investigative endeavors of the Pearl Harbor Field Office of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Led by a talented ensemble cast including Vanessa Lachey, Alex Tarrant, Noah Mills, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Jason Antoon, Tori Anderson, and Kian Talan, “NCIS: Hawai’i” garnered a dedicated fanbase over its run.
Season 3, however, faced production challenges with a reduced episode count of 10 due to delays caused by the resolution of the 2023 writer and actor strikes. Unfortunately, despite its strong following, CBS has officially decided to cancel the show, marking the upcoming season finale on May 6 as its series finale.
Previously holding the title of the franchise’s longest-running ongoing spinoff following the cancellations of “NCIS: New Orleans” in 2021 and “NCIS: Los Angeles” in 2023, “NCIS: Hawai’i” now passes the torch to “NCIS: Sydney,” which premiered in 2023 and has already secured a renewal for its second season.
