Vanessa Lachey, known for her role as Special Agent Jane Tennant, reflects on the honor of being part of the iconic NCIS franchise. In an interview with People Magazine marking NCIS’s 1,000th episode milestone, Lachey expresses gratitude for the groundbreaking opportunity.

“It’s an honor to contribute to this incredible franchise, especially as its first female lead. This role means more to me than words can express,” Lachey shares.

As part of the franchise’s centennial celebrations, NCIS: Hawai’i and NCIS: Los Angeles will unite for a special crossover event airing on April 15th (via TVLine). Special Agent Kensi Blye-Deeks (Daniela Ruah) will join Lachey’s Special Agent Tennant in an hour-long episode.

Teasing the special with TVLine, NCIS co-showrunner David North hints at grave danger for a beloved character, with all franchises playing a unique role. Meanwhile, co-showrunner Steven D. Binder teases a “personal storyline” centered around Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll).

Amidst the excitement, North promises homage to the past, while Binder hints at Easter eggs for long-time fans of the show.”
