Get ready for a blast from the past with NCIS: Origins! The newest addition to the CBS lineup is bringing in some heavy hitters, including Daniel Bellomy from Power Book II: Ghost, Caleb Martin Foote from Made For Love, and Robert Taylor of Longmire fame. With a straight-to-series order for the 2024-2025 season, this prequel executive produced and narrated by Mark Harmon promises to take fans on an epic journey back to 1991, where Leroy Jethro Gibbs (played by Austin Stowell) begins his career as a special agent at NIS Camp Pendleton.
Joining the cast are Mariel Molina as Special Agent Lala Dominguez, Tyla Abercrumbie as Field Operation Support Officer Mary Jo Sullivan, and Diany Rodriguez as Special Agent Vera Strickland. Bellomy steps into the role of Special Agent Granville “Granny” Dawson, a determined probationary agent eager to climb the ranks. Foote portrays Special Agent Benjamin “Randy” Randolf, the agency’s affable golden boy tasked with showing Gibbs the ropes.
But the real buzz surrounds Taylor, who takes on the pivotal role of Jackson Gibbs, Leroy’s hard-nosed father. With Origins and the Tony & Ziva spinoff in the works for Paramount+, CBS Studios is expanding its NCIS universe like never before. Produced by CBS Studios and executive produced by Harmon, Sean Harmon, Gina Lucita Monreal, and David North, this prequel is set to be a game-changer.
Bellomy, fresh off his role in Power Book II: Ghost, brings a wealth of talent to the table, while Foote, seen in Made For Love, is poised for small screen success. Taylor, known for Longmire and The Meg, adds depth to the cast with his portrayal of Jackson Gibbs.
