NCIS: Origins, the highly anticipated CBS spinoff, is shaping up with a stellar cast lineup. Set to explore the early years of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, the iconic character played by Mark Harmon, the show will feature Austin Stowell as the younger Gibbs, with Harmon returning to narrate. Joining the ensemble are Mariel Molina, Tyla Abercrumbie, Diany Rodriguez, and Kyle Schmid, who will portray the younger version of Mike Franks, Gibbs’ partner.
In a recent casting update reported by Deadline, three new stars have been added to the mix. Robert Taylor will take on the role of Gibbs’ father, originally portrayed by the late Ralph Waite. Waite’s character appeared in eight episodes before his passing in 2014, making Taylor’s portrayal a significant addition to the series.
