“NCIS: Origins Casts Young Vera Strickland, Reveals More About Prequel Series!”
The prequel series, “NCIS: Origins,” delves into Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ early days as an NCIS agent at the Camp Pendleton office, introducing younger versions of familiar characters.
Diany Rodriguez joins the roster, portraying a youthful Vera Strickland, originally played by Roma Maffia in Season 11’s “Under the Radar.” Described as a no-nonsense Brooklynite, Strickland is tough and sharp-witted, never backing down from a challenge.
Tyla Abercrumbie also joins as Mary Jo, the Field Operation Support Officer. Dubbed “HSIC” or Head Secretary in Charge, Mary Jo is the office’s backbone, knowing all the agency’s secrets.
These additions join previously announced stars Austin Stowell, Mariel Molino, and Kyle Schmid as Gibbs, Lala Dominguez, and Mike Franks respectively. Mark Harmon returns as the narrator.
Showrunners Gina Lucita Monreal and David J. North express excitement about exploring Gibbs’ origins and promise surprises even for die-hard NCIS fans.
“NCIS: Origins” awaits a release date, promising to unravel the untold story of Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
