“A Thousand Yards” – NCIS faces a mysterious enemy from the past, while Vance attempts to reconcile with his estranged son by explaining his commitment to NCIS despite the job’s dangers. Catch this intense episode on Monday, April 15 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode).

In a surprising move, CBS announced its premiere dates later than usual, with major shows like NCIS pushed to October. According to TVLine, most shows will start in mid-October, possibly due to reduced episode counts of 18-20 per season. This later start aims to minimize breaks later in the TV season, allowing six to eight episodes before a midseason finale. Fans, however, will have to wait an extra month.

NCIS Season 22 will premiere on Monday, Oct. 14, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, a special time for one week only to accommodate a double-episode premiere of NCIS: Origins. The following week, NCIS will return to its regular 9 p.m. ET/PT slot, with The Neighborhood and the new comedy Poppa’s House starting the night.

There’s no confirmation yet on the full returning cast for NCIS. Fans are particularly curious about Katrina Law’s return, given Jessica Knight’s uncertain fate at the end of Season 21. Will she return, or will a new team member be introduced in the first episode?
