Is NCIS Returning for Season 23? Here’s What We Know So Far
The long-running CBS hit NCIS, which first premiered in 2003 as a JAG spinoff, is now in its 22nd season and remains a powerhouse in TV procedural drama. Following the U.S. Navy’s Naval Criminal Investigative Service, the series has captivated fans for over two decades, spawning multiple spinoffs.
Currently on winter hiatus, NCIS has yet to be officially renewed for Season 23. CBS announced the show’s Season 22 renewal in April 2024, suggesting a similar timeline for renewal news in 2025. While confirmation is pending, another season seems highly likely given the show’s enduring popularity.
If Season 23 happens, the cast is expected to remain largely the same, including Gary Cole as Supervisory Special Agent Alden Parker and Sean Murray as fan-favorite Timothy McGee.
In the meantime, fans can also look forward to updates about the new prequel spinoff, NCIS: Origins. Stay tuned!
