Jess has been part of the Major Case Response Team (MCRT) since season 18 and officially joined the NCIS cast in season 19. However, the season 21 finale indicated that Knight might leave her current team. The exit arc for Jess’ character began in season 21, episode 5, “The Plan,” when Jess’ dad appeared at NCIS Headquarters.
