NCIS Fans React to “NCIS: Origins” Trailer with Mixed Reviews
Fans were eagerly anticipating the sneak peek of the “NCIS: Origins” prequel, but the response has been less than enthusiastic. The new series, set in the ’90s, stars Austin Stowell as a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs and promises a nostalgic dive into the origins of the NIS. However, the cancellation of “NCIS: Hawaii” has left many fans outraged.
On Instagram, fans voiced their frustration, demanding the return of “NCIS: Hawaii” and criticizing the new show before it even airs. Comments ranged from calls to cancel “Origins” to expressions of disappointment over the network’s decision. One user even suggested, “Don’t get too attached to this one either. It might be canceled too.”
Despite the backlash, some viewers are excited for the prequel. One supporter wrote, “Literally the only prequel I’ll ever willingly watch!!!!” CBS is also preparing a Sydney-based NCIS spin-off for Paramount+, indicating there’s still interest in expanding the franchise.
