NCIS star Brian Dietzen has teased an “intense” season 21 finale that fans won’t want to miss. Following the celebration of the franchise’s 1,000th episode, the original series’ finale is set to air on CBS on Monday, May 6.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dietzen, who plays Dr. Jimmy Palmer, revealed that the episode will explore life-and-death scenarios that haven’t been addressed in a “long, long time.” He emphasized the intensity, hinting at significant stakes for the characters.
Katrina Law, who portrays Special Agent Jessica Knight, added that the finale will set up an intriguing next season, with characters undergoing deep soul-searching and fundamental changes. She called it one of her favorite episodes since joining the show.
While NCIS is returning for a 22nd season this fall, the spin-off NCIS: Hawai’i has been cancelled after three seasons. The final episode is set to air on May 6, leaving fans with unresolved conflicts. Vanessa Lachey, who stars as Special Agent Jane Tennant, expressed her shock, saying she felt “blindsided” by the decision.
NCIS airs on CBS in the US, with Seasons 1-20 available for streaming on Disney+ in the UK.
