NCIS star Sean Murray has revealed that no character is safe on the long-running procedural, hinting at potential surprises ahead. Murray, who has portrayed Special Agent Timothy McGee since 2003, discussed the unpredictability of the show in a recent interview with People.
“I think we’ve seen over the years that no one is quite safe,” Murray said. “Being part of this show for 21 years has been incredible, but you never know what might happen next.”
Despite the uncertainty, Murray assured fans that the cast is enjoying their time on set and has no plans to leave. He praised the show’s strong foundation and its deep connection with fans.
Meanwhile, the NCIS franchise is expanding with the upcoming series NCIS: Origins, which will explore the early years of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon. Harmon will return as the narrator, with Austin Stowell, Mariel Molino, and Kyle Schmid portraying younger versions of Gibbs, Lala Dominguez, and Mike Franks, respectively.
NCIS airs on CBS in the US, with Seasons 1-20 streaming on Disney+ in the UK. Production for NCIS: Origins is underway.
