‘NCIS: Sydney’ Renewed For Second Season By CBS

CBS has renewed NCIS: Sydney for a second season, and it will also return on Paramount+ Australia.

NCIS: Sydney, the franchise’s first international spin-off, premiered on November 10, 2023, on Paramount+ Australia and on November 14, 2023, on CBS in the U.S. and Global in Canada. The series debut attracted over 10.2 million viewers in the U.S., including an encore episode. It was the top new series of the fall and ranks as the third new series of the 2023-2024 season, following Tracker and Elsbeth. In the U.S., it averaged over 8 million viewers per episode across all platforms.

Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, stated, “The global power of the NCIS franchise became even stronger with NCIS: Sydney. American viewers have embraced the characters, unique stories, and Australian scenery. We are thrilled to bring this show back next season.”

Morgan O’Neill, executive producer and showrunner for Endemol Shine Australia, added, “We’re beyond stoked with the response to the first season and excited to delve deeper into our core team’s lives. The new season will test the bonds of our team as they face a more potent enemy.”

The show stars Olivia Swann, Todd Lasance, Sean Sagar, Tuuli Narkle, Mavournee Hazel, and William McInnes. It’s produced by CBS Studios and Paramount Australia with Endemol Shine Australia and distributed globally by Paramount Global Content Distribution. Executive producers include Morgan O’Neill, Sara Richardson, and Michele Bennett.
