TVLine’s #2025FirstLook series kicks off with an action-packed teaser for NCIS: Sydney Season 2, featuring Olivia Swann, Todd Lasance, Sean Sagar, Tuuli Narkle, and plenty of thrilling moments.
Season 1 Recap:
The Sydney team debuted in November 2023 when a U.S. Navy seaman mysteriously died in Sydney Harbour, sparking a jurisdictional clash between NCIS Special Agent Michelle Mackey (Olivia Swann) and AFP Sergeant Jim “JD” Dempsey (Todd Lasance). Rounding out the team were NCIS Special Agent DeShawn Jackson (Sean Sagar) and AFP members Constable Evie Cooper (Tuuli Narkle), Dr. Roy Penrose (William McInnes), and interim forensic scientist Bluebird “Blue” Gleeson (Mavournee Hazel).
The season averaged 6.6 million viewers, making it CBS’ second most-watched fall show after 60 Minutes and the most popular freshman series of 2023.
Season 2 Preview:
In Season 2, premiering Friday, Jan. 31 at 8/7c, the NCIS/AFP team faces a dangerous new foe linked to Colonel Rankin’s (Lewis Fitz-Gerald) ominous plans, teased in the Season 1 finale. The premiere episode, titled “Heart Starter,” features a rogue assassin on the loose and promises a game-changing investigation, with hints of literal resurrection to crack the case.
