Torres Is Caught in a Compromising Position in ‘NCIS’ Season 22 Episode 7 Sneak Peek

Torres’ quest for love on MateQuest may not have gone as planned, but there’s always room to try again—albeit with some hiccups. His coworkers have seen his hilariously unappealing dating profile and, while supportive, have their share of concerns. These issues come to a head in NCIS Season 22, Episode 7, titled “Hardboiled,” where Torres’ involvement with a confidential informant leads to a serious misunderstanding.

Set to air on December 2, the episode’s synopsis teases a high-stakes case: “Torres receives intel from a confidential informant regarding top-secret naval information at risk of being sold.” CBS has also released sneak peeks, one of which features an awkwardly comedic moment involving Torres, his CI, and his team.

The clip begins with Parker knocking on a motel door. Torres answers nervously, caught off guard by their unexpected presence. “Hey, guys. What are you doing here?” he stammers. Jessica responds coolly, explaining, “We need to speak to Mrs. Carnahan.” As if on cue, a woman’s voice calls out from inside the room, asking if everything is alright. Parker, suspicious, pushes the door open, revealing Mrs. Carnahan stepping out of the shower. The stunned expressions on the agents’ faces suggest one thing: Torres is so unlucky in love, he’s resorted to affairs with married women.

“It’s not what it looks like,” Torres insists, scrambling to explain. And indeed, it isn’t. Mrs. Carnahan is his confidential informant, who sought him out to reveal a critical lead: her husband has obtained top-secret schematics for a supersonic missile, codenamed Mad Falcon. The missile, developed by the Naval Research team, is at risk of being sold to the highest bidder, posing a grave national security threat. The team must now race to track down Mr. Carnahan and recover the information before it falls into the wrong hands.

Written by Andrew Bartels and directed by Jose Clemente Hernandez, this episode promises to blend humor, tension, and action. Tune in on December 2 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS to see how the situation unfolds. Past episodes of NCIS Season 22 are available for streaming on Paramount+.
