### Tony and Ziva Return: New NCIS Spinoff Ordered for Paramount+
NCIS fans rejoice! Paramount+ has greenlit a new series starring Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo as Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David. Set to begin production later this year, the 10-episode series marks a reunion for the duo after 10 years apart on screen. Weatherly and de Pablo will also serve as executive producers alongside showrunner John McNamara, who penned the premiere episode.
The series continues from where NCIS left off, with Tony and Ziva raising their daughter, Tali, in Paris. When Tony’s security company is attacked, the family must flee across Europe, navigating danger and rebuilding trust along the way to find their unconventional happily ever after.
“We’ve been talking about this story for many years, and now, with John McNamara at the helm, we are ready,” said Weatherly and de Pablo in a joint statement. “The world of Tony and Ziva promises an action-packed roller coaster fueled by love, danger, tears, and laughter. This is for our incredible fans who have supported the ‘TIVA’ movement and continue to ask about Tony and Ziva’s journey.”
McNamara expressed his excitement about stepping into the NCIS universe, particularly with the opportunity to film in Europe. The title of the series remains under wraps, adding to the anticipation surrounding its premiere.
This new spinoff joins the expanding NCIS universe, celebrating its 1,000th episode on the original series in April. With spinoffs like Los Angeles and New Orleans concluded, NCIS and Hawai’i currently airing, and international installments like Sydney underway, the franchise continues to captivate global audiences. Additionally, NCIS: Origins, exploring Gibbs’ early days, is in development with Mark Harmon as executive producer and narrator.
