Despite his enduring love for the character and its fan base, Harmon will reprise his role as Ryan Coleman from the beloved family comedy Freaky Friday, which first premiered in 2003.
Over 20 years since its release, Disney has confirmed a sequel with lead stars Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis. On June 24, Disney shared a photo of Lohan and Curtis on set, confirming the sequel’s production for a 2025 release.
Nisha Ganatra will direct, with original cast members Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao returning alongside new stars Manny Jacinto, Julia Butters, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Sophia Hammons.
