NCIS: Origins Trailer Surprises Fans with Darker Take on Young Gibbs
NCIS fans are buzzing after the release of the trailer for the upcoming spin-off, NCIS: Origins. Initially met with skepticism, the 90s-set prequel is now turning heads with a fresh and intense portrayal of a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs, played by Austin Stowell.
The trailer offers a glimpse of a darker, more troubled Gibbs, who is described as having failed his psych evaluation and being “the definition of crazy.” This version of Gibbs is set against a backdrop of thrilling investigations and complex characters, including familiar faces and new team members from the era when the agency was known as NIS.
Despite some initial backlash over CBS’s decision to launch a new spin-off instead of renewing NCIS: Hawaii, the trailer has won over many fans. Comments on social media reflect a growing excitement:
